Teaching problem solving is hard. It is about helping students learn to make sense, think, and reason. To get the most out of it, we have to engage our students. We have to get them thinking and of course, get them talking! In this session, participants learn how to do just that through engaging daily problem-solving routines that focus on thinking, reasoning, and discussion. It’s a perfect tool for word problems in the elementary and middle school classroom. Classroom-ready resources will be shared.
